The 3 Little Pigs is a gloriously eccentric show that subverts the children’s classic, told with dramatic application of shadow, light and color, textured hand-drawn animations, puppetry and warm-props, it’s full of beguiling invention funny, sinister and very naughty….
…also features a dangerous and very elaborate rescue operation, nudity, alcohol, death and a tree.

Manchester based Mishimou formed in 2003 by Rachael Ayres and Maria Ratcliffe fuelled by a shared desire to create multi-layered adult puppetry theatre that challenges perceptions of the art form.
Much of our work is collage-like in structure & highly visual, combining and colliding types & layers of material from many genres and sources. Parallel to this is an insistence that the means of theatrical production be visible in the work itself - certain levels of mystery is removed from the theatrical process to be rediscovered elsewhere in the work.
