At the age of six she became lightning. 25 years later she’s ready to do it again. In this performance, he will play the part of thunder and she will play the part of lightning. Together they will cook up a storm.

This performance has a sense of the lonliness of being lost at sea. Two performers attempt to find intimacy across the infinite horizon and then go their separate ways. They say ‘goodbye’, part and map the distance between them. A reflection of love, weather, distance and the poetics of the sea.

To Begin Where I Am..Mokado was was supported through an Exeter Phoenix Protégé Commission, and developed through a two-week residency at TOUscene, Stavanger, Norway.
